Barstool Daydreaming

Picked up these bar stools the other day...

They are too legit to quit.  I mean honest to goodness chrome barstools from the 50's.  Which I usually don't go this mod, but I was so attracted to the lines of these barstools with the wire-y backs I had to get them.

I think the fabric on the seats alone would be enough to tempt a die hard vintage fan.

But part of me wants to do what they might consider to be sacrilegious...

Maybe take those awesome seats and imagine them with a more modern fabric?

Ok it's a crude rendering I know...but a fun way to see what these stools could look like without having to take them to the upholsterer. 

I love the leafy Dorothy Draper-esque print...add some fun pillows and not so bad right?
