One of my furniture clients has asked for my help with this bright sunny room that is right off of her kitchen.
We are going to keep the sofa, a great vintage piece that is the perfect size, but we are going to have it re-covered. The husband's gripe is that there are no comfy chairs in the whole house, so we are going to try to bring in two chairs to this space that a man/kids/grandkids can lounge in and watch some tv.
The client is an artist representative too so she has all of these fabulous pieces of art, and in this room we are going to be focusing around this piece in particular.
So many fun, bright colors to pick from.
The options are unlimited here, we can paint, we can bring in all new fabrics, rug, tables, lamps. I have a few thoughts of my own and am going to the fabric store today to brainstorm, but I would love to hear your ideas? Would you paint? What would you upholster the sofa in?
Here are the thoughts I'm having.
A bright sofa:
A fun patterned rug:
A new coffee table:
maybe using something like this?
I just want it to come out looking cozy, bright, and not take away from the artwork too much.
Thoughts! I need them.

I think that umbrella orange on the sofa. Light gray on the walls and darker gray on the comfy chairs. Your rug and coffee table ideas are fab. Cool lamps from Andrew and your brass stuff. Bring the turquoise in the painting in the pillows...not that I am opinionated or any thing. ps: I got all my ideas from you.
