Weekend Pics

Monday greetings!  It was a cray weekend for me here in Raleigh, NC.  On Saturday I had a bridal shower and an engagement party for my good friend C, and so my mom had to work the shop for me for a few hours.  If you were there and met her I heard it was swamped while I was gone but that she handled it like a pro. 

We got in a few new items this week:

Picturing that Dixie Shangri-La armoir in high gloss black with golded up hardware.  I might need to keep it for myself as I just realized that I don't technically own a dresser...how messed up is that?  I know.

 

I discovered that using an old electric toothbrush is a great way to polish up nooks and crannies in old brass.

 

 This is a dresser from the Broyhill Brasilia set, of which I just got my hands on a whole set of.  I really like these pieces even though mid-century wood items are not my thing.  I found this pic of two of the dressers together:

Love the idea of making one huge long piece from two matching dressers.  

Scattered posting but that's what my brain feels like right now.  I need some help.  I need an intern.  Do you know any?
