While I watched her gyrate I took on a small project at my own house, which doesn't happen often because I am usually working on something for someone else's house
See awkward wall space here (note awkwardness stems from the fact that we have a floating partition a couple of inches to the right creating a small hallway from the front door so there is no putting a chest or some other cute entryway staple option)
The bench is a cheap-y that I picked up at an auction. I love that the rattan brings in a different element into our painted/brass furniture menagerie, but the blah-ness of this area was giving me anxiety every time I walked in the door which is why I did this:
Small improvement to the bench with some leftover David Hicks "La Fiorentina" fabric. Print is from Michelle Armas purchased from One Kings Lane (I'm sure it will be on sale again soon so keep checking if interested)
Still needs many, many layers added (pillows? umbrella holder? lamp? something to balance out the eye from that huge print... this space is killing me!) but at least I no longer feel like clawing my eyes out when I see this formerly blank wall.
