Comment if You Like Curtain Clothes!

Ok guys, we have a lot to talk about and not a lot of time before I have to go to the fabric store to get curtain fabric samples (which I will unfortunately NOT be making into clothes...)

One, I watched...for all of 15 minutes...the Sound of Music thing with Carrie Underwood.  Several comments here.  Carrie Underwood is a great singer, and that's the only good thing I could say about it.  She's a teeeeeerrrrrible actress.  Has she ever heard of using inflection in her voice?  I had to turn it off and watch DVRed Mindy Project.  If they were going to do this thing...don't do it live maybe?  I don't know, total train wreck.  Oh wait, I do have one last good thing to say about it.  The head nun I thought was fab.  PS did you catch DiGiorno live tweeting the event?  Freaking hilarious.

Second, Pantone announced the new 2014 Color of the Year.  If you are one of the people who I told "it's gonna be a purple" please step forward and vouch for me that I've been calling this thing for months. (See my obsession with it back in September).  I'm thrilled.  Great color.  We've been doing a lot of lilac lacquered pieces.  Look for some more soon and we'll just start calling it "orchid."

(Item already SOLD)

Truth be told I like my lilac just a little bit better than the orchid...more red, less blue, but who am I to argue with Pantone?

Can I just say that I'm really glad it's not 2005, 2006, 2007, or 2008.

That's it for now, hope to see everyone when the store is open this weekend!

  1. I mean, how could we really have celebrated a whole year of "Sand Dollar"? Orchid is lovely.
